About
GTAW on Pipe is an advanced course designed for experienced welders looking to master the Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) process on pipes. This comprehensive program adheres to ISO standards and covers essential techniques, safety protocols, and educational components necessary for high-quality welding. Participants will gain in-depth knowledge of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) fit-up, material preparation, filler metal selection, and welding techniques. The course also delves into welding code criteria and regulations, ensuring that students are well-versed in industry standards. The program includes hands-on training in various pipe welding positions: 1G (Rotated pipe), 2G (Horizontal weld), 5G (Fixed position pipe), and 6G (Pipe at a 45-degree upright angle). Students will use both ER70S-2 and ER70S-6 TIG wire during the welding process. The 6G position pipe welding specimens will undergo mechanical testing to meet ASME Section 9 code standards and ASME B31.3 (Standard Pipe Construction code) VT acceptance criteria. In addition to practical skills, students will be tested on their theoretical knowledge to fulfill lab and class hour requirements. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate of proficiency in GTAW (TIG) on Pipe. Participants will be equipped to perform high-quality, sound pipe welds in industrial plants, fabrication shops, and other professional settings. Join us to elevate your welding skills and achieve industry-recognized certification in GTAW on Pipe.
